SH 500 — Q&A
How much water do I mix with SH 500?
Mix 4.7–6.6 liters of clean water per 25 kg bag — never more than 6.6 liters, and never add chemicals or admixtures. Mix 1–3 minutes, rest 2–3 minutes, then remix and apply.
How is SH 500 applied?
In two coats of 1.6–3.2 mm (1/16"–1/8") using a trowel, masonry brush or 3/8" nap roller. Work the first coat into the substrate, cure at least 3 hours (2 days on block or masonry walls), then finish with a vertical-stroke second coat.
When can SH 500 resist water pressure?
It can be exposed to hydrostatic pressure in 3–5 days — rated 0.15 MPa positive and 0.05 MPa negative pressure.
What is the coverage of SH 500?
One 25 kg bag covers approximately 11.2 m² at 1.6 mm thickness (yield ≈ 0.5 ft³).
What is the application temperature range?
Apply between 7 °C and 32 °C. Water-cure with a light mist for 1 hour, starting 4 hours after placement at around 21 °C.
How is it packaged for export?
In 25 kg kraft paper bags — 64 bags (1,600 kg) per plastic-wrapped pallet, and 1,024 bags (25.6 MT) per 20-ft container. Shelf life is 6–12 months unopened, stored cool and dry away from direct sunlight.
