At ITOS, we formulate our flooring combinations from two central perspectives: innovative and functional performance, and environmental consideration and sustainability. ITOS takes pleasure in successfully manufacturing high-performance resin systems with lasting durability and enhanced product life — most importantly, reducing the need for product replacement.
Eco-Friendly
ITOS composite materials provide significant environmental benefits. Traditional materials like steel and concrete are increasingly replaced by composites, and research shows composite products are an environmentally attractive alternative. ITOS composite materials are nature-friendly because of their extremely low weight: used in the car industry they can reduce overall vehicle weight by more than 40%, significantly reducing fossil fuel use and CO₂ emissions.
Our investigations show ITOS composite materials can be recycled quite easily, reducing human impact on Earth's ecosystem. In pollution impact, ITOS composites score best compared with structural materials such as steel and aluminum. Recent studies show the embodied energy required to produce ITOS materials is significantly less than that of steel and aluminum products — producing steel causes more than twice the energy consumption.
Minimising Waste
We take thorough responsibility to make certain our products are packaged with environmental concern. We monitor our waste streams closely to be most cost-effective with environmental consciousness in mind when selecting disposal routes. Our ongoing aim is to reintroduce factory waste into our manufacturing processes and eliminate waste at the source.
Optimising Raw Materials
We optimize raw material usage by purchasing within a 500-mile radius of our production site from local markets, warehousing and manufacturing units — reducing transportation distances and the burning of additional fuel.
Sustainable Operations
We regularly undertake site assessments to monitor our usage of the surrounding land, water and atmosphere — assessing hazardous chemical substances, ventilation, environmental noise, waste management, and water and sanitation.
